I have been using this soap for the past week.
A 100g puck of hard soap, refill to fit a container I already had . Normally most scented soaps redden my face, so was wary of this soap. The scent is quite strong and like a nice smoke wood fire. Lots hate it, but very warm and pleasant for winter. I bloomed it for a minute and it was very easy to load with a damp brush.i did it for about 20 seconds. I face lather and you do have to experiment to get the amount of water just right. A thick creamy, warm lather. Very, Very nice feel. My Rocca razor cut like on smooth glass. No hint of nicks etc or of any kind of irritation. Very nice face at the end of a lovely shave.
A very exciting range of soaps and pastes, each one I have seems quite different from each other.

I'm in the love it camp, a wonderful scent great for this time of year.
As you say there are plenty who would not agree! :) P.

One vote for "WTF is this?"
It's strong alright. But Scottish? Smoky, peaty Whisky?
I do like a bit of Lagavulin, but this stuff is more ashtray than smoky whisky.
It took days to get the stench out of the brush.
Meißner make far better smelling stuff. Black Beer No.1, Dark Lime are two I have tried.
