I do love Rooney and M&F brushes. Not that I own any or have ever tried one (except for the vintage butterscotch keyhole Rooney that I have and love) but they're some of the smartest, prettiest and classiest brushes on this green Earth.

This £2 special has also arrived from China. Why buy this I hear you ask? Well, I now have a new 'Fat Handle Tech' using this head and my recently sanded Yaqi nickel handle (thanks for the advice @Tony'schin ). I think @donnie_arko will appreciate this:

The So Oud is a perfect companion smell for the Varen soap from Stirling, the other 3 smells are also delicious, money well spend

So now it is a crappy, rainy day in Southern Ontario but the sun came out a little and I was out and about when Mrs. Somnos sent me a quick text. Hey I spotted a nice razor she said...here is a pic. Yes indeed Mrs. S! So she snapped it up and brought it home! Man, I love that Mrs. S!!! It is virtually new and appears that it may have been used maybe once. CLEAN! A whopping $14.99!!! A beautiful 1948-51 Aristocrat!

The mailman today brought 2 more Yaqi Brushes.
Just what the doctor ordered.... Well not in the slightest bit. I had absolutely no need for any more brushes but it seems to have worked out that way...

Smells wonderful.
Plus been out shopping and started my 1st batch of Bay Rum Splash. Doesn't look too appetising. I will let you know how it turns out.
100ml each of:-
Dark Rum
Vodka
Witch Hazel
The rind of a large orange and 1 lime
A concoction of Star Anise, Cinnamon stick, fresh ginger root, Juniper berries, cloves, Kaffir lime leaves, pepper corns and a touch of essential oils.
To add
Bay Rum essential oil and some Glycerin
Smells wonderful.

Well, tried my best! Went all of April without getting anything, then I folded like a bad hand! Loved a couple of Soap Commander samples I'd used, so I went for a scent I hadn't tried yet, then had to go for the fabled B&M Lavender Reserve. Both have amazing performance but the B&M has a scent to die for!
