hi there amego,s i was hopeing someone can advise me how i can firm the blade of my straight at the pivot end,at the moment it flops about and doe.snt stray were its left. many thanks

Re: losse pin

tap the pin head with a spoon or a peening hammer

it might be that you need to put in a new one as loose pins sometimes indicate a bent pin

cover the scales with a bit of tape to protect

Re: losse pin

Tap 2 to 3 times each side then check the tightness of the blade you need to tap both sides or the blade won’t sit square in the scales. Don’t tap to hard as it is possible to crack the scales.
