L'Occitane Cade Shaving soap Discontinued!

it was a good soap but with the risk of sounding shallow and stupid; the bowl was better then the soap and bowl will be missed more than the soap. Also I think the bowl stands out from all other soaps bowls because it makes you think that, it's made as if it was Victorian times or first quarter of the 1900's

Now I know I did the right thing when I bought the aluminium bowl and three pucks (all brand-new).
I find the soap as good as, or better than many hard soaps, but now I suppose I'll have to be more stingy with it.

Yeah, but I've used my bowl and once you have, they just never seem to clean up right. To be even more honest, I've always thought calling it a bowl was pushing it a bit, it's not exactly practical - more a stylish 'soap holder'. YMMV
My bowl still has the paper tag around it. I've been using up an old puck that lives in a stylish Wilky black bowl. All joking aside I found it to be a really good soap.

Once they've had water and soap in contact with the metal, which is aluminium, then they seem to be irrevocably stained, if not corroded. I suppose it might be possible to clean them up with a mop and polishing compound, but I doubt it's possible to get them back to "new".
I'm not sure whether this speaks more for the quality of the metal or the corrosive effects of the soap!

Edit:
Someone on eBay UK has "10 available" bowls only at £42.00 each!

I bought the soap this morning in Grand Central in Birmingham,It wasn't on the shelf as the lady there told me they have been told to put the pucks in the bowls and try to sell them together, she took one out for me as I'm on the mailing list.
I asked about it being discontinued and she claims It's been withdrawn in readiness for a reformulated version.

Dave.

There's plenty in stock (both bowls and refills) at the L'Occitane shop in Exeter.

I was also told that it was being reformulated by the sales assistant as well.
