But you can use the black Z26 in the Vista right?
http://blog.gouletpens.com/2011/04/lamy-converters-theres-two-of-them.html

Oh and Z26 is now becoming Z27 going forward

Yes you can, however the Z26 does not have the nubs that snap into the back of the section on the Vista. I combined the front half of a Z24 (with nubs) with the back half of a Z26 (black knob, chrome ring) so I've got the best of both worlds. The converter's pretty much permanently installed in the pen so I like the added security of attachment.

Well I've gone and ordered it. I only got the pen this month, will have to wait till payday for the ink and converter.
Originally I'd planned for the blue one but the purple one popped up and I'm a sucker for purple, so obviously I had too, the wife better keeps her pesky mitts off it as shes a magpie with anything purple.

I thought it came with purple ink but that must have been the original offer at cult pens. Instead it cane with the blue, which seems decent.
I'm extremely conscious of pressing on with too much force, as my writing style is heavy handed. This lead to the pen skipping a little.
I am looking forward to practicing and improving my writing style.

It does look nice.
Next week Im going to order a bottle of Diamine Onyx Black and possibly a 30ml bottle of Billberry.

Whatever you do...do not go to a FP forum and ask for what the best black ink is... :)
Not only will you get 20 different answers but you will suddenly 'realize' that you now care about archival properties, water-protection, etc, etc....etc.. :)

Funny you should say that, I was looking at inks a couple of nights ago and it got me thinking which black ink would be best. Started looking at reviews, then youtube and stumbled across all of that sort of stuff. Who knew eh?
Differant flows, saturation, going in deep here ha.
