Kai blade update.

Day 2
Face lathered with Cella today. The resulting shave was relatively comfortable. The alum test (also performed yesterday) confirmed that. Just that pleasing little soupcon of a sting you get with a good shave - no screaming and dancing 'round the bathroom.

Day 3
Bowl lathered today with T&H 1805. The blade was starting to feel a little dull but the shave was acceptable with no discomfort. As The Shamen asked in their song 'Phorward', "Can you pass the alum* test?" I can now tell them, yes.

I was satisified with 3 reasonable shaves from this blade; it isn't going to replace the Feather for me however it's a decent alternative. If you have a lighter beard or are comfortable with Derbys you may want to give this blade a test if the Feather is a touch too much.

I remember that song was it the one were they went aceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed, or something like that.

You can try a fourth shave if you want, I do not believe it would be as horiffic as you think. I have only done it once and found it was not as dull as I thought as it was going to be. I think some blades rapidly go downhill after three shaves (or maybe I just think they do to justify me changing them) whatever it is the Kai's seemed to be a more gradual decline than other blades. For example I found Merkurs to be OK for two shaves, the third rapidly went down hill and I tried a fourth once but never again, for me they are window scrapers after two shaves.

Remember if anyone doesn't really like the Kai's that Rev-O will happily accept charitable donations at the church (for the benefit of his parishoners who need to look at him ).
