I'm on my 4th AS-D2 because I always thougt there where better 'mild' razors. There's not (in my opinion anyway).

I find that paired with a KAI blade, this razor really shines.

I've no experience of the 68 but I enjoy the 84. Very nice feeling razor in the hand. You'll know the type I mean when I say you fear for the sink of you drop it!!

I've already done that this year with a jar of soap. One expensive accident as I had to change the whole cabinet.
I couldn't be doing with a child friendly 68.
All I thought was 'That is a lot of CNC machined SS for £65'. And then the Shave Lounge deducted 10% for being on this forum. Even better.
I don't see it being an Ikon beater but there is something very honest about it I like. May be it will. I shall find out in due course
