July 2020 acquisitions

This acquisition was an acquisition I didn't know I'd acquired until it came through the door and acquired it.

I really must thank @RussellR5555 for this absolute surprise which is most gratefully received. A Maestro 6/8 shave ready straight.

After trying the road in to straights a number of times I have always thrown in my hand. This was until recently where I have been experiencing a bit of success with a Kamisori style shavette and still seem to be winning. I still have a face which is a big plus. Only tonight I managed to have a 50/50 with the shavette and my usual SE.

Now I have another toy and can only hope the success story continues.

  • AP Shave Co. 24mm SynBad
  • AP Shave Co. 24mm 2BED set in Yaqi aqua handle
@RussellR5555 You'll be proud of me Russ. I managed to get hold of a Dremel and got the knot fitted myself. More amazingly, it's since survived two test lathers! Feels like a great knot (along with the SynBad).
