New Fountain Pen and it is a beauty.

I got myself a Lamy Safari a while back after recommendations on here, I have not used a Ballpoint since.
Also it helped me to stop the death grip I used to have when writing as you just have to touch the page with the nib.
I should have got one yonks ago. (y)
Ps I now have five Fountain pens and a couple of the flat fibre nib pens.

May I ask what are the five fountain pens you have? Have you any preference as far as the colour of ink you like to use?

Paul.

Hi Paul, nothing special 2 Lamy Safari 1 yellow one black, 1 Parker, 1 zebra disposable and a Waterman.
The waterman was given to me by a left handed friend. ( just tried to find out what waterman it was, just a chrome pen, they start at £70 so that's my best pen). It is the smoothest nib followed by the safari then zebra and Parker more scratchy
I just bought parker blue ink bottle when I got the safari pens it is going to last me year's.
Ps, got ink converters for the safari pens and I use a syringe to fill the Parker and Waterman.

Thanks for your response.
Those Zebra disposable fountain pens are fantastic, especially the purple one!
Just as I'm a hoarder of soaps I'm also a hoarder of inks, I just love to swap out the colour every week or so, I also use syringes to fill empty cartridge's from ink bottles which makes having different ink colours much more economical.
Write on!

You are amongst friends here, let's have no more of " I'll tell my friend....."
Embrace it, own it, be proud of it! :)

Paul
To be fair, It feels more like co-conspirators with some and pushers with others ;)

I think my recent ebay raids will show I've definitely embraced this group's ethos - I see it, I need it, I will possibly rationalise my decision when it arrives. I mean, who doesn't see 48 aftershave mini sprays and think "I'm having them....":oops:

Hi Paul,
Do you know Pilot ink - https://www.jetpens.com/blog/pilot-iroshizuku-inks-luxury-japanese-fountain-pen-inks/pt/401
It's very good stuff. I have 4 or 5 samples in 15ml, Ku-jaku and Tsuyu-kusa being my favourites.

Acquisitions so far yaqi arrived today, omega boar couple days ago - used it first with rituals shave cream but didn't build up great lather (I'm suspecting the cream isn't that great or my ratio was quite a bit off - a lot of cream soaked into the brush ) but loved the brush on how it worked with Wilkinson sword soap - much better than the brush synthetic brush that came in the box kit
