Im back....for life.

So.....a few months ago i left the forum, sold off all my gear and went back to carts.
Had some great shaves.....and then, the ingrown hairs and spots started.

So in a nutshell, Carts suck and im back on the forum and back to using proper gear!

For life!!

Hope you guys never missed me too much

o_O why did you leave tho?

I boxed up all my DE razors out the way to try carts again for a week or two. Second use of a Mach 3 Turbo cart: completely soulless, not that close a shave anyway and face didn't look much (if at all) better than after a DE shave anyway. It didn't touch a good number of hairs at all after 2 passes. Cue touch ups and irritation. Not trying for BBS but it looked like I'd barely shaved. I like the pivot of a cart razor but (that's) about all. Also those Mach 3 handles have no weight to them so I'm sure I used a bit of pressure. Welcome back

I just cannot handle the little ingrown hairs and spots i get from carts. Aaaarrrrggg so annoying.
Single blade shaves are so much better and less irritation. 5 blade carts work great for the first few shaves but there after its like hell.
And trying to shave the neck hair, going over the same spot with a cart is

Never again!! Ever...

Glad you were born again!

I too tried a Mach 3 a while ago. It's the complete weightlessness of the razor that felt the most strange. Plus the noise it makes and horrible limp technique required. Like a cat clawing at a window. Eugh.

If you're in a desperate rush to shave there are some half decent straight to face products. Clinique Aloe shave gel is the best I've used and works well with a DE. It also survived for years in the container, never letting me down when required. Obviously not the same as proper stuff but handy to prevent you falling off the wagon when you're in a rush :D
