I think I may have a shoe issue!

My sister called in today with my teenage nephew, and on looking at my 'hobby' table, asked what I was doing. Well, I was polishing a pair of beloved Loake brogues However, I think what caught his eye was my glass jar of shoe polish which I had decanted from one of those 'squeezy' bottles of shoe polish and I was using a paintbrush to apply a few layers onto the welt. A part of the shoe often neglected. I do this before applying proper wax polish onto the uppers. I have a problem, don't I? LOL

I wouldn't want to wear them outdoors if I had to do that!

But you have my respect for the attention to detail [emoji106]

Not a bit of it Stephen. My No 1 Dress motorcycle boots for Royal & VIP escorts had the instep beneath bulled. As well as melted original Kiwi painted into the welts and any other required seams. Even yet my Selvyt cloth is in regular usage on domestic evenings.
As my first drill instructor used to like to bellow, "Shiny Boots, Shiny Mind. If you are cursed with a dim mind you require even Shinier Boots in order to baffle me !"

I clean my shoes for me, not for others. However they get sufficient comments to suggest that quite a few others notice. More ladies than guys, I'd say. But then, even wearing leather shoes rather than trainers is going against the flow where I live.
