I like Gem blades,is there another?

I like the Gem blades that connaughts sells though I'm curious as to whether there is another brand out there to try. With the obvious exception of DIY paint scapers the only one I've heard of is Pal. Any ideas on this one?

I think the simple answer is no just the Gem S/S coated from Connaughts but what a shave. How would I know they cost £50 delivered for 400 blades to go with the 200 I ordered a couple of weeks ago. :icon_razz::icon_razz:
Guess that makes me a totally committed SE shaver and I love it.

The Derby SE blades are just half a DE blade I think. Designed for shavettes, so you don't have to snap a DE blade in half.

The ones that I saw when I ordered looked like they came 10 to a plastic container. Looked like the SE box. They were 100 for ~ 10$ US. Hopefully We'll see what Turkey send soon!

Went back to the ad! You're right! I'm now the proud owner of 100 half derby razor blades. Might be able to super gum them back together an use them in my DE's.
I do have a straight edge, that I use for the back of my neck, that use 1/2 blades. Guess I don't have to worry about breaking whole ones in 1/2 for the next 20 yrs!

Well to make up for my Derby SE goof, I thought that I would review a:

Gem '34 Micromatic Clog Pruf that I tried for the 1st time this morning. Look and works mechanically very much like the older OC Micromatic. Except it has a CC with Two large spaces behind the bar. Looks like two rt triangles. Weight and size is similar to the OC.
Used it this AM with Proraso preshave, Proraso shavecream, a new Gem SE blade.
Yes, the did not CLOG. Not really sure why this was such a selling feature as none of the other Gems I used had a clogging problem! It did shave Very Well. 1st pass WTG gave a passable shave, 2nd pass ATG would have been enough to go to work with. I did a 3rd XTG just for fun! Enjoyable razor aggressive, kind of,but not mean.
Finished with Thayers Cucumber and Witch Hazel.

Tomorrow the '38 bull's eye Micromatic.
