How to reduce the size of photos in bulk...

I have recently downloaded Picasa 3 which I find quite easy to use, however, does anyone know how to do the following with it.

If you have a folder of about 80 or so photos, each about 5Mb in size, is there a way to reduce the size of all these in one hit to maybe 1Mb? I tried using the email function to bulk reduce size, but it reduces them to 32Kb which is far too small, and as it is an automated function, there doesn't seem to be a way of selecting the size you'd prefer...

I find this little program to be very effective. I've been using it for years with no problems.

What an amazing little program! Downloaded and installed, and so intuitive that within 2 minutes, had got a new folder installed with a batch of perfectly re-sized photos. Original folder was 300Mb, new one is now 30Mb. Many thanks for your suggestion...

It also batch renames files amongst other features.

I would use it on large JPEG files so I can share easily on Facebook, etc.

Just discovered the 'crop' feature is a breeze to use too! Where has this program been all my life LOL
