If you live in an area where the water is hard, you will notice your razor builds up residue very quickly and for the rest of us, you will have shaving cream residue build up on your razor over time. We are asked the same questions every day about how to clean your safety razor, and of recently more and more people have been asking how to clean their OneBlade razor. To keep things easy we have outlined a simple cleaning process that will make your razor look brand new again.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • An all purpose cleaning solution or any domestic liquid soap. (that is NOT designed to remove tarnish or rust).
  • Water.
  • A dish or container that is large enough to submerge your razor.
  • An old toothbrush.
  • A microfiber cloth or cotton towel.
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR RAZOR:

  • In a shallow container, create a mix of half all purpose cleaner and half water mixture (enough to submerge your razor). Submerge your razor in the solution and let it soak overnight.
  • In the morning, use a toothbrush to remove any leftover residue.
  • Rinse your razor in warm water for a minute or more.
  • Dry your razor with either a microfiber cloth or cotton towel. Avoid using any paper products (e.g. paper towels, tissues, toilet paper) to dry your razor; it might scratch the surface.
IS THE RESIDUE ON YOUR RAZOR STILL NOT BUDGING?

TRY THE FOLLOWING:

  • Use filtered or bottled water. The harder your water, the more difficult it will be to clean your razor.
  • Soak the razor for 12 hours. Some soap residues need to soak a little longer than others.
  • Use a firmer bristled toothbrush.
