How Many Shaves-Per-Gem SE Blade?

Well, the subject line pretty much covers my question I think ...

How many shaves do you get out of a Gem coated SE blade? I know some folk here get 5 or more from their DE blades, but I might have missed similar discussions for SE blades, and I was wondering along these lines.

I have no answer for myself yet. I usually don't get more than 2 out of my DE blades, what with my beard stubble, OCD and comfort levels etc., but I figure I should definitely get more from an SE... maybe 3, or 4 even.

As a new SE user and on first blade 3 so far and will carry on with this blade till shave quality deteriorates. I will report back with a definitive answer, DE shave was 4 shaves per blade for me.
On a side note the shaves are getting better with each shave, loving it . :icon_razz::icon_razz:

Pete

I get about 4, could stretch to 5 U/Hermit ; to compare, that's against 3 with most DE blades.

Also loving that Arko cream by the way, first cream I've ever tried which gives a truly dense protectyive lather effortlessly. Thankies muchly.

Finished my third with one, and I could, I think easily grant it clearance for a fourth flight . However, I find myself overworking the blade; as if 'compensating' for 'deterioration' that I just don't register on it yet.

  • Therefore, I think I won't use this one again, but I'll try and modify this behaviour if possible, as I continue re-using the SE blades.
    • ... I think.
