How long does it take you to shave?

40 minutes to an hour. This usually includes a shower, if not showering I'll have a hot towel session.
Never had to rush a shave for work in ages I always shave the night before.
This timing doesn't include the hours deciding which soap to use.
Or my 10-30 sec micturate

Recently retired and on lockdown so all the time in the world, my morning routine wet face, preshave, leather with brush various soaps, DE razor shave, rinse and aftershave balm, 20mins, best part of the day

At the moment, as I am lucky to work from home, time is not a factor - I want to escape into a world of mindfulness when I shave and enjoy the experience. The same has always been true at weekends, unless SWMBO is on a schedule.

That may change when I have to be out of the house with my arse on a bus when commuting starts again :) .

Back on Parris Island, about two minutes; that's with a can of Barbasol and a Gillette Slim with a Super Blue. Of course, at 18, whiskers are on the soft side, skin is pretty supple, and it was one pass, straight down. Didn't use the term at the time, but BBS, probably not a big difference from before the shave.

Skip ahead, about 5 to 7 minutes, Gillette Good News, and whatever soap/lather was around, whiskers grew up quite a bit, two passes now, one down, one up, DFS, off to work.

In this brave new world, clocking around 15 minutes, RazoRock Mamba, Cella, and a trusty Voskhod, three passes (or maybe four, depends on the counting), one down, one up, and lately one diagonally down towards the center line and then sometimes diagonally down away from the center line. The last are very light to pick up any strays. Started doing the extra passes as there was still soap in the bowl. BBS with no irritation. Work is very distant in the rear view mirror.

Purportedly someone once asked Abraham Lincoln how long a man's legs should be and he reportedly said "Long enough to reach the ground".

I have a weird schedule so I can pretty much take all the time I need, except for some 12 hr. days where I have to get up at the azz crack of dawn and I just skip it. Besides, I look good in a Sgt. Rock beard. ;)
