Between my wife and I, we have finished off a large bottle of Southern Comfort, Lime and Lemonade (called Steamboats in Liverpool)
Crappy 80s music videos on the telly, browsing the internet.... she has just bought a jukebox and I have just browsed to English Shaving (edwin jagger)
Had a clearance sale on and I have just bought this for £29.50 - I think it was a good purchase in my inebriated state.

Imitation ivory best badger shaving brush with drip stand

This smart shaving brush was created by Edwin Jagger for Crabtree & Evelyn and has become very popular. The shaving brush is filled with best badger hair which, with a quality shaving cream or soap, will create a rich shaving lather and comes with a matching drip stand. Made in England to the same high standard as all Edwin Jagger items this shaving set is a real bargain. To clear stock we are delighted to have an excellent new range of product to sell at fantastically reduced prices.

Then again, to put into perspective... she has just spent £3,500 on this!

Quick, buy loads of shaving stuff, whatever razors/blades/brushes you've been longing for while you can still use 'Well you spent £3,500' as an excuse :D

Sounds like right now ist the best time for ordering that large Rooney in finest. Quickly, before the window of opportunity closes again.

Your C&E looks very nice, EJ make good brushes.

Just about all the forums contain rave reviews about it and that Mantic fella says its a brilliant brush . . . even God listens to Mantic.

I'm sober now! Happy with both purchases actually - the jukebox is for the play room so will fit in quite well.
As I will be responsible for filling it full of music I can enact a degree of reasonable judgement on what the kids (and the wife) can listen to.

Somehow I don't expect my favouite Schubet Octet or Handel Trio CDs to sound that great tho'

If that brush is made in England it must be a Kent or Vulfix - I think they're the only two English brushmakers left (??)

Jukebox - err . . . . If I had one I'd make it a John Peel Jukebox and fill it with 7'' from his shows and sessions. But you could have a Choral section - Poulenc, Vivaldi, Macmillan, Tavener. Short pieces.

Ah, Poulenc! Love the piano and harpsichord concertos. Used to play the clarinet sonata in my younger years as a pretty handy clarinettist! :D
