Hone bargain?

You will likely be stung by customs - unless you are lucky. (I never seem to be when I buy from Japanese sellers...)
Well I was wondering about that of course but there's no mention of any further charges. It is a Japanese seller with Amazon but unlike some of their Japanese and overseas sellers the customs tag isn't mentioned.
But I'll have to wait and see. Fingers crossed

I have bought quite a few stones from Japan, through Amazon, this year and had no trouble with customs at all.

Thanks John, yes you're right it arrived today by normal post delivery and no extra cost. Exactly 7 days from order too... pretty quick. I was thinking October earliest.
Beautifully packaged as well I have to say. Japan Rare-Mono Market was the seller.
Lapped it and used it already, looks like a scalding mirror edge. Definitely the best stone I've bought for that price. Pity he doesn't sell Jnats.

In the last year, I have bought, from Japan, around four Shapton Kuromaku 2000, 5000,8000,12000 and two Naniwa the Fuji 8000 and Hayabusa 4000 all have arrived without any trouble and very well packaged. I have bought from Japan Rare-Mono Market and a couple of others with equally unusual names and have been very happy with the packaging and speed of delivery. I seem to remember hearing that the EU had negotiated a trade deal with Japan a year or so ago so was wondering if this was why the Customs didn't want their pound of flesh.
