It doesn't bother me from the "looks" aspect, nor does it affect the way the razor shaves, but, on hauling out my aluminium 15A to load it up, I noticed that each corner of the baseplate has the black coating worn back to a white crescent substrate. This is circled red in the attached photograph.
I have several other razors (Razorock, Standard and a couple of others) which are aluminium with a black coating, which I presume in all cases is anodising. All have had more use than the Hone, but none exhibit this type of wear.
More out of interest than anything else, has anyone else experienced this phenomenon with either the Hone or another black aluminium razor? I stress "aluminium" as I have other stainless razors like the Blackbird which have a black finish designed to wear and age gracefully.
