Hello fellow forum members, I'm not new to DE shaving but I am new to this forum :) I am 30 now but been DE shaving since I was 16, one of few who actually started with an DE (Boots Razor tech clone) i did try shaving with carts back then but it was horrific, a lot of tugging pulling, having an extremely coarse beard with sensitive fair skin with really dark hair pigment is a nightmare with an cart even when cleanly shaven you could see the 5 o'clock shadow beneath my skin, It took a few years till I mastered how to prep & shave properly with a DE, trust me even after 5 years when I was 21 I was still learning alot, thought I knew it all but there was alot to learn & figure out what works for me, now my skin is amazing I look like a completely different person clean shaven compared to when I have stubble. Hope the weekend has been great for you my friends. Happy shaving ;)

Nice to meet you Tranquil_Shaves. There are many fellow coarse/dense beards and sensitively skinned blokes here (me included). So you're in good company. My beard is also wiry which presents its own issues, so its still a journey for me too.
