Help dating Gillette Tech

Picked up a British Ball End Tech on eBay for a steal the other day. Arrived today and I am trying to date it. Top cap appears to be coated steel (or at least it's magnetic) rest is aluminium. No date code but as I understand it the Made in England techs didn't get date codes. Pictures below, if anyone can help that would be great!

Possible just the plating is magnetic.
