My DE journey started a few years back when a friend gave me a Merkur Futur. I still enjoy shaving with a variety of Merkurs, but I'm really falling in love with vintage Gillettes - especially Slim Adjustables! I started this DE obsession thinking it would save money compared to cartridges - what a fool!

Money spent on DE shaving is money saved as it wasn't spent on cartridges...
 
You could be right - I spend maybe £50 on a vintage DE razor, but my favourite blades are the Indian Gillette Wilkinson Swords at £6 for 110 blades. Enough to last me a year. Only problem is that when I see an old Gillette on eBay I can't resist it!
