After flirting with beard growing for a few months I have just returned to wet shaving. I thought I would try DE shaving after 30 years using cartridge systems. I did a bit of lurking on here and watched some you tube videos and took the plunge, buying an Edwin Jagger Kelvin from Amazon. Also got a bowl of Proraso sensitive soap and a cheapish Omega brush. Used it all for the first time this morning and was pleased with the results - only a couple of nicks Not sure the free blades that came with the razor are particularly good but I'm the sort of person that likes to tinker with different things so I'm looking forward to trying different blades and soaps.
Hope to pick up some tips and recommendations here on TSR.
Cheers.

Well, I've just enjoyed my 3rd ever proper shave. I must admit the first 2 were a bit underwhelming so I swapped the Derby Extra blade out and put a Polsilver Iridium blade in. The difference was like night and day! The Polsilver is clearly sharper and glides a lot more smoothly. Result: much better shaving experience and a happy Veston.
