Hair clippers

My hair was getting way too long. I normally have it styled by my hairdresser and it's normally over an inch long on top. I thought I'd let my wife go at it with some clippers since it's got a few weeks to recover. We opted for a 4-9mm blend from the sides to the top. She was a bag of nerves but had a good first go. Still a bit shocked everytime I see my reflection in the mirror. I see this little dude staring back at me:

But older and fatter!

re hair cutting razor: There are many models on the market, some take special hair cutting blades, some take normal DE-blades. I bought mine from Ali in China but you can also find them on Ebay or at stores selling hair dressers supplies.

Just ordered a Wahl Peanut cordless hair clipper and trimmer. It comes with 4 combs for buzz cutting. I haven't had my hair cut in 3 months and it's really irking me since I'm used to short hair that requires minimal maintenance. I had a buzz cut 10 years ago and liked it, so I figured a buzz cut would be easier and less subject to operator error than trying my usual short hair cut. Now, all I have to do is convince SWMBO to buzz my noggin.

I left it too late to buy decent clippers. I managed to find a Braun Trimmer. Which does trim hair. I have given it an unsuccessful go, I may have to wear hats until the summer. Only advantage is that I paid £36.00 in Morrison's and not ripped off like the suckers on eBay.
