Good, easy finisher

You can get 15k but cant remember the price, the 30k is like 3 or £400 , from what I read the 12 to 15k does not give you a big noticible differrence ...you could try lapping film
Edit...

If the CrOx is working I would stick with that. Just make sure you are getting good quality paste.

You could also try a low micron lapping film. These are are great and cost effective.

If you want something more interesting you could move to a natural finisher.

Coticules are tricky but not so bad coming off the synthetics if you use them with water or oil only. Dr Matt has a couple of videos demonstrating this. Be warned that coticules will soften your edge not make it keener. This is nice to shave with but if you are looking to improve sharpness, then not what you want.

The easiest natural finisher I have found are the Charnley Forests. Very easy to use and put a nice edge on after the synthetics.

Unfortunately they are variable and only available vintage. They also command silly prices unless you get lucky. And people try to pass of other stones as Charnley Forests to get those prices.
If you are interested Lynd678 on eBay generally has good examples. Look for stones with a clear red vein showing but preferably not too many on the honing surface itself.
