iv done this thread on soaps and agin i'm trying to understand what everyone uses in the hope one stands out over the other.
if you had to pick one cream only what would it be & why ?.
try make it a cream (that's) easily obtainable.
Hopefully a few people come up with the same answer and (that's) what i will buy

I tend to prefer using soaps (shaving sticks) over creams but I have a few creams in my rotation. In terms of performance I find Palmolive Menthol to be difficult to surpass, one of the few creams I've tried which performs as well as my best soaps for slickness, cushion and protection.

Connaught Shaving sell it for £3.60.

Palmolive and Body Shop Maca Root are good cost effective creams
Ingrams , if you can find it is good for summer use (menthol) it's as slick as they come too
La Toja is another relatively low cost, good performer
Meissner TremonIa are very good, as are Trumpers (going up the cost scale) and both come in a variety of scents
I've never used Taylor's, but most swear by it

iv used the loccitane a few times and rate it highly. i'm new to DE but been wet shaving all my life albeit with cartridge.

The Gentleman's Tonic is a cracking cream and goes a long long way.

A bit if a silly exercise but does prove a point
