Had a great shave today MWF a 1959 Gillette Tech with a Voskhod blade such a smooth trouble free shave sometimes you forget how good the old Gillette's are

Well, they were the flagship Gillette model for years. Much prefer the Old Type, though.

Whilst visiting my son in America last year I bought several razors on eBay
all Gillette. 3 Techs 2 travel WW1 open comb ( which is waiting to be used) plus 2 twist to open 1960s all made in USA probably went a bit overboard!!
Still I'm sure I would have no problem if I decide to sell a couple it seemed to good an opportunity to miss while I was there!!

@Salt lane runner Same here (except not visiting your son), ordered a Slim, few vintage Gillettes from Shave HQ and a couple of Schick Kronas to try out. Have tried half of them, starting to learn what I do and don't like and will put some on BST

I haven't learned to love the Tech yet, but I'm sure it just needs more practice and finding the right angle

I love my Gillett Slim Adjustable, but the Tech is too mild and unfortunately not efficient enough.

I find the WW2 Techs with the triangular slots in the base plate very efficient.

+1 on efficiency for flat bottom version.
Very mild and easy to maneuver especialy for everyday shave.
Also I find it good with any sharper blade

It's a vintage handle from a Durham Duplex Razor, fantastic handle!

@50mm, I've shaved with that handle quite a bit, not bad at all.
