Gillette Tech info required...

Thanks, guys. I like the made in France for the English market idea. Makes sense - though mine seems to have taken fifty years to make the trip!

Since the Tech is a lot lighter than my HD, can anyone recommend a first blade to try? So far, I've tried Wikinson's (not bad but not stellar) , Feather's (seem to go dull fairly quickly) and Derby's (my fave so far with six daily comfortable shaves to a blade). I still have a few untried (Red Personna's, Astra's, Bic's, 7 o'clock's (green), Iridiums) Do all blades perform roughly the same (no pun intended) in different razors?

Thanks in advance!

Here's a ridiculously sprawling post I created a while back on B&B - I really should copy my parts over here... but I'm far too lazy!

Chris - That was a great read! Thanks for the link and for taking the time to write up the test, too. Couldn't have asked for more than that! Plus, it's really inspired me to do my own. Just as soon as I've polished up my Tech... Going to leave the Feather till last - I suspect, like you, that it'll be the clear winner - but where's the fun in that?

interesting read, I have been using the same razor for a few months now and really should have made some comparisons like this.Saying that I am pretty much settled on blade choices at the moment.

ye still the R41,I am using either a Kai or Derby in it.I still try out the odd new blade but find these two suit me fine.
