I have got myself some Gillette Blue II with the swivel head from ASDA down from £3.50 to £2 and intend to give them a go. I am also lucky enough to have retained 30 of the Gillette Sensor Cartridges, which I will use sparingly.

You're on the wrong Forum here m8! Our interest is in traditional shaving not those awful overpriced cartridge contraptions!!

You somehow have missed the fact that you're posting in the cartridge razors section of this forum. So I really think you've taken the wrong turn and ended up in the wrong place matey! Our interest here is obviously not yours.

Bought a further 4 packs of the Blue II swivel yesterday from ASDA; not bad at 25p per cartridge; now probably got approximately a year's supply - I just hope they are okay; haven't tried them out as yet!!

Although the Gillette Blue II plus Slalom is the same fixing system as the original Sensor, it is wider/longer than the Sensor's fixing system and therefore it does not fit into the Sensor handle. Obviously ridiculous, because if it were to fit none of the throwaway handles would need to be manufactured / produced and thus a great saving in throwaway plastic etc. Does anyone know if the Sensor fixing system is patented so that no one can make blades that actually fit the Sensor handle, which would seem sensible. It sort of baffles me why Gillette are effectively producing a Sensor throaway razor, which sells for a lot less than the original Sensor blades, but it would appear, absolutely refuses to manufacture Sensor cartridges, which would sell for more than the throwaways. I sort of think I know the answer, but thought it was worth mentioning, just in case!

Incidently, USRazer.com appear to do a good 2 blade cartridge that does fit the Sensor handle, but not too sure if they ship to UK, will do some more research on it and Atra would also seem to be a good 2 blade cartrige, also a USA product, I believe, but need a different handle to the Sensor.
