Hi.

I have a nice razor that I've managed to do a fairly good repair on the cracked handle.

Its lost most of its original plating across the whole razor. With the top cap showing its posts. I have managed to polish up enough so this is hardly noticeable. And I like the brass look,.
I just need some help on what is the best way to keep it looking shiny, the clear lacquer I tried just seems to peel off.

Any idea's or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Must be an OLD, I repair/clean/polish when I get one, after that I just clean occasionally with soap and a soft toothbrush. The oxide that forms is protective and harder than the brass, and every time you polish it off you make the razor smaller! Patina is beautiful.

Thanks man for the info.... I may give it one last polish to see if I can remove some of the 'polish rings'
