Gillette Nacet

This thread got me intrigued enough to want to stray from my "go to" Vokshod or Feathers, so I ordered a pack of 5 Nacets from a well-known auction site.

Slotted one into my open-comb Merkur this a.m. and attacked my 5-day growth. First stroke, "There's no blade in this". Carried on a couple more. "No, there must be a blade in, my neck's bare".

Overconfidence set in and I now have a couple of minor holes in my face. Grazes really.

Wow! No blade feel at all but a really close shave. Just don't rush...
 
Well guys, I had my first shave with a nacet yesterday and I was mightily impressed. Definitely the closest I've had and it was smooth enough with no irritation. Even today my face feels good. I'm looking forward to experimenting with them further.
 
Gillette Nacets are the only blade I now use. Found them after experimenting with different blades in the hope of finding one that suited me. It does not matter what razor I use I still get a good comfortable shave and no irritation.

I occasionally revisit other blades in my stash but they don't give me as good a shave.

Like many others I ended up bulk buying from an eBay seller in Jordan. Initially bought 100 to test before buying a further 1000.

I have a lovely pivot table of the average shave score (0 to 10) of each blade against each razor and another of the average score of each blade on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. day of use. Not sure how useful the second is, but the first lets me see how each combination rates

UPDATE

Given others experience of these blades I think I must have knock-offs. I shave once a week. First shave using a Nacet was as above. Second was rough but acceptable. Third, I had to change the blade. I'm returning to my Vokshods as, although initially less smooth, I get four good shaves out of them,
 
Are these new blades?

Gave one a try two days ago and very impressed but only just heard of them.

So much so, selling half of my Silver Blues to buy these.
