Gillette Blue what happened ?

Just get Astras. I like Blues, but at some point just stopped experimenting and settled for these. No regrets since.

Ironically, I recently traded into two NOS Gillette Bleue Extra blades which is what I assume you are speaking of. I have four perfect shaves on the one I have used so far. There are a few theories as to their origin. They were not made in Annecy, France for sure as that closed in the early 90's. Many think they were made in the Lodz, Poland factory in the early 2000's after Gillette bought it and before production was moved to St. Petersburg. Others say they have always been made in St. Petersburg. 
No one knows for sure, except that they were a remarkable blade and they quit making them.
My theory is that they became the Russian 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (blue box and discontinued) which then became the current Silver Blue.
