Anyone else using a micromatic?
I picked up a 1912 ever ready and a micromatic about a 18 months ago. I instantly fell in love with the 1912 but didn't care much for the micromatic. It's been with my dad since, though he hasn't bothered using it as he's a superspeed junkie.
First shave in a long time with it tonight and......wow. It's a great piece of equipment.
I made a bit of mess of my neck on the third pass due to getting a little over confident but the rest of the shave was fantastic. I get the feeling the micromatic is rather unforgiving in the technique department, probably why I didn't like it so long ago. After a bit of straight shaving the danger aspect isn't really much of an issue.
It's the only razor I've bought that I really didn't like, now it's back making the 'choose your razor' routine even more complicated.

If you don't have an opinion then get one, it won't cost much. I would say I'd send you mine but I'm in the midst of a love affair that may take a few weeks to die down.
