Of course there's lots more info found by reading those books rather than just watching with more limited insight. Luckily, a bunch of helpful short cut story line histories can be found on youtube from various helpful places.

To anyone now on the third book or less, don't get the 4th one but instead, go to #5 first. You won't be missing anything in the series 4th one that couldn't wait a while to tell. Read about the preferred sequence and see what's up. Hah, the author needed both books to tell one real loooong story. That guy is whatcha call verbose!

It was good, but forgettable. After the end of the third season, everything seemed very dull to me. They made it up with the Battle Of The Bastards. Littlefinger as Gandalf though.. That was funny. lol

I've been happily enjoying GOT without getting too involved in backstories and such, so I tend not to over analyse it, BUT !!.

These Dead buggers are taking a heck of a long time to get south, maybe we could chip in for some mobility scooters ? every other bugger has one.
