Fusion Proglide - regular or flexball?

Having read the very positive comments from the likes of Vinnie and Carl about the Fusion I'm going to try going back to carts for work morning shaves. DE just takes too long on a work morning for my liking, where an easy 5 minute shave is in order, not 20 minutes of faffing about. So, I have a question. Which is the better option - the regular or the Flexball Fusion Proglide? Thanks, Alex

PS no need to recommend the Sensor - I already have 1 but find I need to work nearly as hard as with a DE to get a really good shave with it.

Used it quite a few times now. Still of the view it's a very good razor. Very, very difficult to nick yourself. I've not managed it yet. The Flexball does make shaving the neck and over the jawline an easier job. I still need to a multi-pass shave to get BBS, so nothing new there. Still on the 1st cart and it's certainly got a good few more shaves in it. If I were to be critical - the "edging blade" on the back of the cart isn't up to much so I've been using a DE to edge precisely around sideburns and also to shave right up under the nose (the cart is too big and clumsy to get in there satisfactorily). Also, it does tug a a fair bit (much more than a sharp DE) on a few days growth on the 1st pass.

OK, well it turns out I didn't get another shave from that 1st cart. It had dulled overly and was too tuggy. So that was 4 or 5 shaves (multi-pass admittedly) from one cart. At the price of Fusion carts that's pretty pricey shaving. That was what initially pushed me over to DE shaving in the first place, although it was Wilkie Quattro carts I didn't like the price of at the time, so the Fusion isn't going to be something I use much. Back to DE for me then. I'd say the Fusion is a good option for those who can get a good few more shaves from a cart than me.

Aye thanks Carl. I've been doing my usual prep of shower and then lathering up as normal. Something about my face just seems to dull carts quickly, it's not just the Fusion. I know some others can get much longer out of them without a bother. Maybe I should be using a pre-shave cream but I've never felt inclined to.
