Finished.!!

A 100 ml bottle of M&S Woodspice Original aftershave. It's a shame as I don't know when I'll be able to re-stock since our annual pilgrimage to England and Scotland to visit the family is on hold for an indeterminate time. On the bright side, I'll purchase a bottle of Tabac aftershave to tide me over.

Have you tried the Cyril Salter tallow puck? It has a nice scent and superb performance, doesn't cost much and it's made in the UK. I think it might fit in that container.

I've got a MÜHLE Sea Buckthorn to go in the tub. Still in the wrapper for the moment.

Finished my Phoenix & Beau - Obsidian shaving soap.

Bought this in 2006 and have used it 41 times.
It has an earthy, smokey vetiver scent; quite unusual but I liked it a lot.

I found its performance a little odd as it never quite gave me that thick luxurious creamy lather I get from other soaps; just lacking the rich body of other lathers. Having said that it didn't seem to have any negative effect to the shave and performed just as well as others.
So overall a top performing soap.

Would I buy it again? Well no because it was a special edition so probably couldn't anyway. Definitely one to remember.

This one will definitely be replaced. Punches way above it‘s price point.
View attachment 55742Excuse the grubby looking pot, it's an old D.R. Harris pot that has seen better days, but still fit for purpose.
I'm in full agreement as far as it being a soap that punches above its price point, I'm pleased to have this in my soap rotation. :) P

Finished my i Coloniali Rituals - Mango soap puck.

I originally got this soap before 2015 in the brown ceramic dish. I gave the dish away to a fellow member of this forum as it found it to be too small. I rehoused the puck into my King-of-Hearts soap dish. I like the soap so much I got a refill and now this has been exhausted too.
I would buy it again but they don't make this soap anymore.

One of my favourites. Scent was flowery and powdery with a slight menthol kick. Lather was luxurious and gave a dry conditioned feel afterwards. I think that was the mango oil that gave the face feel.

Sad to see another classic go but time to refill my dish once again.

Finished today Wilkinson blue tub - no pic y'all know what is looks like.
Would like to re-use it and buy soap refills - the width of the tub is 9 cm - I'm sure somebody mention soap(s) that fits - any suggestions?

Finished my Nanny's Silly Soap - Down Home Summer shaving soap

This is the only second shaving soap that I've ever bought (apart from TOBS Sandalwood, which I got a 2nd of as a present).

One of my very favourite soap scents. Very summery & flowery. Excellent performance, (albeit you need to load a bit more heavily than usual) and nice skin conditioning afterwards.
I think NSS is very often overlooked as a UK artisan soap and should have more limelight.

Would I buy it again? Maybe once my stockpile has reduced somewhat but I think I'd probably try another scent (already have the Moroccan Sands which is also fab) because I'm curious.

Finished my Nanny's Silly Soap - won't your Nan be upset with you.

When I first came on this forum 2009, NSS was very popular. There wasn't quite so many artisans around then.
