Been using the Proraso soap and Maca Root cream exclusively for a few weeks as I wanted to use them up.

This was my second tub of Maca Root and was a gift from a friend. Performance and value wise it is excellent although the scent means that it won’t be replaced as there are others I prefer.

The Proraso was also my second tub and although it is a solid performer I found it left my skin a little dry so won’t be replaced.

The Hawkins & Brimble Balm I found superb, as good as Barts and L’Occitane in my opinion. It is quite thick, although very slightly less so than L’Occitane. I enjoyed the scent which is mild and doesn’t clash with any fragrance you may wish to use. I have 3 bottles of Barts Unscented which will get used now and I’m not sure whether I will continue to use balms or just use my witch hazel recipe followed by a moisturiser such as Cerave but if I do H&B is definitely one I would buy again.

Astra SP are the only DE blades I have at the moment, they work with my small razor collection and being a daily head and face shaver they offer good value, very much a YMMV item. I have another 3 cartons waiting in the wings.

Finally seen off the last of the 3 vintage Body Shop shaving creams that I bought 7 or 8 years ago. Which is just as well as the plastic tube has started to disintegrate. The bottom of the tube came apart when I tried to squeeze the last bit out.
These have a nostalgic and sentimental value as they where the first creams I shaved with as a kid. I also love the scent.
I would buy again if I ever came across them on eBay at a reasonable price.
More likely to eventually replace with Salter’s Indian Sandalwood, which is the closest match, scent wise.

Bye bye Meissner Tremonia Gentle Menthol Oil ...
