Finished.!!

I finished my Cremo stick today. Saw it in TKMaxx for £4 just after I had seen someone on here talking about it. Figured I would try it. I actually quite like the weird smell it has, but it's very soft and appears to be designed to be used brushless, like a stick deo. Wasn't a fan. A pack lasts next to no time, (almost a blessing) and even though it lives upto its name of being creamy, I didn't think it gave as good a shave as it looked like it would. 6/10 at best. 20220201_091530.jpg

Did you go crazy during the Amazon Baxterpocalypse?! I bought 2 tubes. Love the smell and cooling but I don't know about the feeling it leaves on your skin. I'll enjoy what I have left, but might not get again.
Yes I did, I think I got there or four packs of both, the scrub is great the balm is ok but I prefer my Barts balm and l’oreal.

Finished my Proraso Soap.

I always image that this is the soap that traditional Italian barbers would use as their standard soap.
I have enjoyed all the Proraso products, especially the AS.
It performs great. It seems to adhere to the skin better than most, which results in nice close shaves.
For me it's quite a strong mint/menthol scent but is not overpowering.
Cheap as chips in Italy and well worth picking up when on holiday from a local supermarket.

Would buy it again? Not for a long while. I picked up several Proraso creams from TK Maxx recently and they'll last me some time.

Finished Barrister & Mann Lavanille Shaving Soap.

After 5 years and 42 shaves I've come to the end of this B&M Soap.

I would describe the scent as Vanilla on steroids. Like many US soaps in my collection the scent is really high - high enough to take your breath away, which is not really a good thing in my opinion and over the years I've come to prefer much subtler scents.
As with all B&M soaps I've used, the performance is excellent and super easy to lather. I can't fault it on that.

Would I buy it again? Nope. Too strong. If I did buy another B&M I would research for one without such a kick.

Finished Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel

Yet another bottle of this hits the recycling bin. I usually use this with every shave and it is still my favourite splash to use straight after the final rinse and pat dry after shaving (followed by AS a few minutes later).

I prefer the Thayers WH to others because it doesn't have the faintly pooey smell of straight WH.

I am surprised that I have now run out of my stock of this (I usually always have a reserve in waiting), so I'm going to have to source some more and pronto.

Proraso green preshave cream, and SW necromantic all emptied out. Probably won’t be restocking either - from proraso I still got red preshave cream and another green one. Find them useful for a quick shave in the morning when I don’t have time for proper facial routine and need to rush to the meeting (and that tends to be most mornings lol)

SW again - great scent but there’s more out there that are more amazing imo. No issues with performance at all (non tallow soap) however still would pick wickhams over it. Got one or two other soaps by SW in my den so that will do me!
