Feather Razor and stand - Have I bought a fake

After years of lusting after one I finally splashed out. It's a great razor, though the rake angle takes some getting used to. I've been away a month took the razor and left the stand. But looking at it this morning the razor needs a clean as the hard water and soap have made it rather dull. When it was shining like new again I found the stand which I had not yet used and placed in it. And the difference is striking. the stand is polished shiny stainless while the razor is a an aluminum grey. Is this color mismatch right, or have I bought a fake? Cheers

No need to worry, the stand is shiny and the razor has a more satin look.

The feather ASD2 is chrome plated stainless steel (the chrome gives the glide!); the stand is polished stainless steel only - all looks good to me...
