FAKE Watches

"Tuckers" here I come.

PC - see you there at our usual table for a game of chess, cuban cigars and discussion of the Talmud; afterwards do you fancy heading off to see an Arthur Miller play or a classic movie at the arthouse theatre? Or may be just a wander round the galleries - there's some good exhibitions on at the Modern?

Stowmarket - so good they named it (once).

How about taking a punt on this:

Who knows.... might be a hidden gem in there somewhere!!

Well even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day. ;)

Nope:

I was looking at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.visitstowmarket.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.visitstowmarket.com</a><!-- w --> earlier and I think they're underselling it:

Synonymous with the girl from Ipanema, the dramatic view from the Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf), and famous Carnival celebrations, Stowmarket is also a city of stunning architecture, good museums, and marvelous food. Stowmarket is also home to 23 beaches, an almost continuous 73-km (45-mi) ribbon of sand.

A genuine excerpt from Wiki for Stowmarket: '.....Stowmarket lies on the River Gipping, which is joined by its tributary, the River Rat, to the south of the town.'

Marvellous eh? is there any truth that the town motto is Ars Rectum Ars ?

Well one good thing about Stow is the late, great John Peel hailed from there (or very near anyway), so perhaps Ollie will be making his pilgrimage after all? I once sat near him in a restaurant. John, not Ollie.

Nothing says Hey, i'm a cock with more money than sense than a Breitling and a Porsche Cayenne.

Disagree, the Cayenne can be had quite cheap now, I think people realised how ugly and pointless they really are

Better buying a Toureg.

I guess I present an image of understated good taste & discernment with my old Nissan & Timex wristwatch. (well, it IS a genuine Timex & not a replica !).

JohnnyO. :?

OK, you win.

I look forward to that Tony, and I approve of Timex watches too - nice and legible. Here's a link you'll probably like:
