Face or body soap

I use Dr. Squatch for an invigorating face scrub. It is fantastic stuff...

As always, the only problem is, importing it from the States - what a buggeration that is...

I do not shower before shave. I started off return to DE, shaving using MGLO products,
then found Neutrogena Glycerine soap, which is a good cleanser/ moisturiser. I got mine
very Cheap, it is now available on Amazon.

I use a bar soap for bathing and showering (currently Mysore Sandal) and a dedicated face wash (Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish).

I've never bothered with any pre-shave product. I'll wipe any remaining proto-lather from the puck and massage it into my face, but that's as close as it gets.

Greetings

I never use bar soap at all, each sink in the house has a dispenser of ordinary Dove liquid soap with it. I shower with Sanex shower gel.

I have over the years tried all sorts of pre shave soaps and bath soaps, bar and liquid, but personally found none of them any better than Dove liquid soap and with the Dove you do not seem to get the layer of scum.

The same applies to showering, I like the Sanex having used it for heaven knows how many years and you do not get a thick layer of scum (my water is very hard) that you seem to get with bars of soap. I guess I'm a bit set in my ways :icon_rolleyes:

Regards
Dick.

Ye i bought a body soap woman in lush said i should use a actual face soap or wash. Iv always washed i think with a body soap. I do use a facial exfoliating wash twice a week though. Iv just come off antibiotics for acne and feel they will come back. Been thinking of trying a African black soap though for days i don't shave. I don't think a body soap does harm aslong as you wash it off would it

I used Akoma black soap for a while and found it to be really good, can't comment on how it would affect acne but it was great for dry skin. I also purchased the liquid black soap but didn't really get on with it. It was still a good soap but it was extremely runny and I'd end up loosing half of it down the sink.
