Do you leave the blade in the razor?

Leave in most of the time and take out in my Weber SS razor to keep the razor clean. Now and then I will remove the blade to give the blade a clean if it's gunked up or to clean the while razor too.

I am still quite new to this this but I rinse the razor & blade under running tap then dis-assemble and take the blade out. Blow any water droplets off the blade then pat dry on a towel, clean and dry the razor and put the blade back in. Re-assemble but leave the head slightly loose until next use. I find with an Astra SP or Permasharp I comfortably get three shaves. Seems to work for me.

take it out , pat it dry, ark with a dot for the number of uses with a permanent marker. Then it goes back in the razor but not tightened up until the next time I use the razor.

Take it out, pat it dry, wipe the razor, let stand for a few hours to cool and release any stresses, reassemble loosly. Seems to work.

I question the amount of shaves that get reported. If you make one pass, is that one shave? Are two passes still just one shave or two shaves? How about three? I always do more than one, so should I be really happy about how many I get? Counting on the upper end, last week, I got 18 off a Voshkod!

Another thing, general advice is "Do Not Wipe Blade!" But the sharpness tests show that most blades become sharper after the first use, theory being the coating is worn off. Gillette says good shaves are a result of the coatings. A straight razor is claimed to give the "best" shave. However, a straight razor is honed, stropped and wiped many, many times, and I've yet to hear about coating one of them. Maybe that's a secret until you've passed your initiation.

I'm surprised by the pampering some of these blades get considering their cost. I usually use a blade a couple of times (once if its a Derby) and perhaps longer with a Feather. As for stabling them blades are sharp so I handle them as little as possible once in the loading and once into the sharps box.
Obviously I align next days razor with my local ley line to energise it for the coming shave.
