i don't think you save any time however for me it's just another nice addition. mine is hand made from a local pottery so they are all different and made for shaving. possibly not any better or worse than anyone else's but for me it's well worth whileHow many seconds would I save by switching bowl? (asking just out of curiosity, if I really was in a hurry I would not consider wetshaving at all
even although it's got a £25 price tag

For me having a texture made a difference:
I purchased a horn bowl off Amazon originally
And loved the size but the lather was crap, couldn't build a lather in it to save my life
So I tried modifying it by adding some 8mm protective Bumpers For Cupboard Doors & Drawers.
And now it works a treat, granted technique has played some part I'm sure but the improved bowl has more than a little bit of a contribution.
So today I've been working on this, with hopes I can get it 3D printed

Haha. I tried this..... bit of a disaster as the glue didn't stick.I was going to use hot glue gun to dab balls of glue onto a bowl....but I now realise " Balls of Glue" would make a great movie title
