Do purpose made shaving bowls really work better?

How many seconds would I save by switching bowl? (asking just out of curiosity, if I really was in a hurry I would not consider wetshaving at all :) )
i don't think you save any time however for me it's just another nice addition. mine is hand made from a local pottery so they are all different and made for shaving. possibly not any better or worse than anyone else's but for me it's well worth while
even although it's got a £25 price tag

For me having a texture made a difference:

I purchased a horn bowl off Amazon originally

And loved the size but the lather was crap, couldn't build a lather in it to save my life

So I tried modifying it by adding some 8mm protective Bumpers For Cupboard Doors & Drawers.

And now it works a treat, granted technique has played some part I'm sure but the improved bowl has more than a little bit of a contribution.

So today I've been working on this, with hopes I can get it 3D printed :)
