So I was refilling a little 5ml spray bottle of rubbing alcohol which I keep in a first aid kit. Helps to sterilise bad cuts before dressing.
Then I realised I had some essential oils I bought years ago and had forgotten about...
One drop of peppermint oil & one drop of geranium oil later, and I had home-made after shave. Lovely fresh smell from the peppermint mixed in with a hint of parma violets from the geranium oil.
Doesn't seem to last too long though. There must be a secret to that.
Still, a cheap way to get your smell on.

I did some googling and found several recipes which also add witch hazel, glycerin & a carrier oil.
