Well had to do it and buy some dmt dia spray, tried it on two blades, both of which were already shave ready, I checked the scratch pattern on both blades before and after, I can honestly say they both returned mirror finish after 15 laps, it cuts very fast compared to any compound I have used on knives. I dont know where I got the "15" laps from, but it worked out fine, on blades with a heavier or lighter scratch pattern obviously adjust laps....a bit early maybe to give a solid opinion, but after just two blades...I think I like this stuff, not cheap at £25 per 50ml, but two squirts goes a long way
