December Acquisitions

Holy smokes! What an incredible haul of shaving cream! A few things I've been intrigued by for a while including Wilk Sword (is German made right?), Denim but there are a few things I've not seen before the one between La Toja and Nivea Blue and the two at the top.

Fine work.
The Wilkinson I believe it's German made but at the box says distribution by Poland!!! Couto are quite popular including their toothpaste! Men's Estoril sports as far as I know used to be very popular but I believe it's no longer produced (some Portuguese friend correct me please!). VIP I never heard of!

Palmolive, denim and nivea you can find everywhere! From aldi to other regional supermarkets chains.

Typical, I just finished shaving when this beauty arrived. It's a Gillette New Standard/Improved circa 1921-28. Despite the Canadian box, it's an English chap, as indicated by the ‘Y' at the end of the serial number on the plate (the fact that ‘Made in England' is engraved on the underside kind of gives it away too). Pat. No. 133963-1917 on the base of the handle.

A heavy fellow too (78g). Can't wait to try it. Possibly an Xmas day shave!

The flash has rendered the images harsh, but in the flesh it is truly a thing of beauty; considering its age. Only some brassing here and there and a small characteristic crack at the top of the handle.

Sharp enough to shave with...

Cheburkov Bulldog titanium framelock with Damascus steel blade. Looks mean but the blade is only 6cm long and knife overall 14.5cm.

Very nice stubby flipping folder that cuts efficiently, cost a pretty penny too! Voxnes knives similar. Enjoy your purchase and keep out of sight of PC fascists.

Something else for my Rolls collection!

Hey, that's lovely! What a great catch! The soap is wonderful and I highly encourage you to use it. Mine still had the cellophane cover on and the soap looked a little odd but I think that's the fat in it which had changed over time. Give it a good scrub with a boar brush and use as normal thereafter. The smell is quite wonderful, like freshly washed cotton sheets billowing in the wind.

Is that the brush you're wanting to re-knot?
