Yep, mine arrived today too and they are indeed Russian. Should I be overly concerned?

Well Pete said this:

I've tried both and the Russian is not quite as good but at that price it is still a bargain. 8p each, I'd much rather have those than Red IPs or Derbys.

Up to you and your face I guess.

They are bl**dy Russian blades, Pete was right.

Interesting that the picture in the auction shows Gillette Czech SRO on the side...

The vendor says it is a "library" picture... :roll and that he is out of Czech blades.

I agree with Pete that these blades are not much better than Derby's/IP's, the Czech blades are far superior so I will be sending mine back.

I've just gone for 100 blades. I'm going crazy this week, what with my impulse buy of some Palmolive Cream from Tesco at £1.00.

See what happens sometimes with impulse purchases?! The vendor is lucky. I am far too busy at the moment to bother with the hassle of complaining and sending these blades back. I get on OK with Derbys so will give them a go and put it down to experience. The price was around the same as for 100 Derbys and at least I'm a year closer to staving off The Shavocalypse!! :)

I'm glad I hadn't ordered any yet.
I'd have gladly bought 100 (or more) Czech silver blues.
Not sure yet about the Russian ones though they still seem a bargain if they are reasonable blades...

I've been using the blades this past week and they seem absolutely fine to me. Admittedly I find it hard to find the difference between the blades I have tried. I have used each blade three times and probably could have made it four. Perhaps I'm lucky and most blades work for me? :)
