I saw a thread on another forum where someone mentioned using this as a pre shave preperation, and absolutely raved about its properties. So off I went to the mighty Amazon(lovely girl), where I found a nice big bottle for £7 or so, inc p+p. Well, I've now used it after shower and before shave 4 or 5 times. I'm not going to claim its the answer to all mankinds ills, but I will say it seems to make my shave a lot better, and I havn't needed to put any type of balm on after shaving. Whereas I normally need to as my skin tightens up quite a bit. Also havn't needed alum either. Not sure about the niff, but its not unpleasant, and doesn't seem to linger. So, it seems to work for me at least, happy days. Oh yes, the amount needed each shave is around the size of a hazel nut, so the bottle will last for a very long time:D
 
There's a thread on Badger & Blade about this product where a suscriber is cautioning about the methylparabens in it for regular usage. The thread is named The Dark Side of Corn Huskers Lotion and the suscriber suggests that this ingredient may cause skin sensitivity & reddening of cheeks ( I'm guessing as in rosacea ) so care should be used. I have no chemical knowledge or background, however the thread may be of interest for users.

Cor, wonder if I put some on the other halfs cheeks she'll stop buying so much expensive makeup LOL. But on a serious note, Iv'e experienced no problems yet. I only shave 2-3 times a week though. I shall keep this in mind and watch out for any signs of this. Is there a link to this thread please:)

The top part of our dachshund's nose is extremely dry and rough, our vet highly recommended applying a small amount to the top of her nose several times a day. After 2 days application, we can see a significant change and will continue to apply until her nose is back to normal. If applying to your dog's nose, gently smooth on, their nose is sore. Recommend holding them for just a few minutes afterwards to let soak in just in case they decide to rub lotion off on floor or carpet. Thats me sorted, always wanted a cold, wet nose. Am applying as I type, baying at the moon shortly(her indoors always says I'm a dirty dawg).

After reading the aformentioned article on this product, I am now signing up for therapy as I'm losing the will to live. Choices are supposed to be good, but I'm afraid the world has gone fu**in mad. The choices from what to buy, what to believe, whats best, and just check this out on the net which is best? It seems to me that CHOICES, are destroying us. TRUTH, is whats needed, from polititions, businesses and news disseminators. Lying to the public should be made punishable by death, or at least hanging by the neck untill cheered up:mad:.

Whoops, a little turn there, RANT over, day off, going for BEER therapy;).
