Consider the hat

I have an affinity for hats. Here in the states, the only men who wear hats are geezers and black men.
Since I'm half Persian, I can get away with it!
Last Saturday night, was wearing my Glenn plaid sport coat with elbow patches, British tan turtleneck,
rust colored wide wale cords, pleated, with turn ups, argyle socks, and Stuart McGuire shoes with
Royal Brogue styling, and a brown fedora. Thought I was rather smart looking, when I was informed that
I looked like I was in the mafia!
Sometimes you can't win for losing.

Couldn't seem to find the fedora lounge, but the hats I have are:
Three wool fedoras in black, brown, and grey. All have teardrop crowns double pinch fronts, and stingy (narrow) brims.
Three straw fedoras for summer, same shape, in yellow, white, and grey.
Three straw boaters, one with a club band, one with replaceable bands (brown & black) one black one with silver stripe band.
A coconut straw golf hat with telescopic crown, and madras band.
Three waterproof fedoras, black, brown, and navy.
An ambassador hat, black leather, with Persian lamb. (just like grandfather's)
And, of course, a black Kangol flat top.
