Connaught Shaving.

Thanks again for the comments I've finally got my 4g antenna sorted out and using that network the Connaught site loads instantly the problem remains with the ADSL landline feed. Just intrigues me why this one site loads so slowly as even on the 2mb ADSL most sites come up without much delay. I recall being in the top end of Norway 12 years ago and the most remote sites had blink of an eye connectivity.
 
Just did a little test as I am having the same problems with Connaughts site loading very slow, using an up to date Mac with the latest software all the settings as they should be etc.

Tried it with Chrome and Firefox but it was still the same. Switched the WiFi off the phone and used 4g, it loaded no problem.

I then used my VPN but still connected to a UK IP address, again, no issues. So for whatever reason it seem to be the ISP my end thats causing the problem.

Connaught has been slow for me across all my devices. After reading your post, I just switched to 4G on my phone, loaded instantly.
How did you resolve your issue. I'm with Virgin.


Edit: I've just discovered, if I try to load a page, then switch off the wifi (on the computer), the page suddenly loads. Connect wifi for each page load works out better.

To be honest its not really resolved as such. I should have said I used the VPN on my computer and it loaded no problem.

I'm with, don't laugh, TalkTalk but to be fair I've not had any issues apart from this little niggle. The computer is connected through WiFi but even when I hard wired the laptop I still had the slow loading problem with Connaughts.

Is your computer connected through your ethernet cable and you have your wifi on?

I see what you mean by turning the wifi off just after loading the page.

Mines wifi. If I use the phones 4G hotspot, it works quick on the computer.

I didn't know if it may have be a virgin media issue. Obviously not.
 
Sorry for any issues. My host has recently upgraded their system, so for most the site should load much quicker now. Around 5 or so customers have this issue, & they all have different systems. I use a Win 10 PC & Firefox, Chrome, Opera & Edge all work fine for me.

Hi Paul,

Seems to be ok now, I'm using a Mac with the latest updates.
I was beginning to think it was a Adobe Flash player issue as I know v14.0 Safari has stopped supporting it and it was stopping me completing some work assessments.

All good now though and thanks for letting us know.
